Happy New Year!

Hammerpress

Adding art to the casa and rebranding Stash Couture, I've decided to draw inspiration from one of our favorite things - music. And in that process I've fallen hard for letterpress work. 

 

So we have been scouring the globe for cool concert posters to frame and draw inspiration from. This search has led to many good discoveries. One of my favorite discoveries thus far has to be Hammerpress.

 

Hammerpress is a letterpress & design studio located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

"Started in 1994 by Brady Vest with one printing press and a cabinet of type, we have grown to a handful of lovely employees, several very heavy antique printing presses, and tons of type. We like to make beautiful things, we like beer, and we have undying affection for 80’s music and tacos."

Met Your Macha

Don't wear a lot of jewelry myself but digging Macha Jewelry. I especially like the silver stones.

They have pieces for men as well. I love the rustic cuff links above. And although I'm not a huge fan of jewelry on men (unless well-edited), I really dig the way the piece above was assembled.

BEFORE I DIE I WANT TO...

A Polaroid project.

"The Before I die I want to... project was inspired by a combination of factors: (1) the “death” of the Polaroid, (2) a psychologist’s tool called safety contracts, and (3) a passion to get people to think about (and act upon) what is really important in their lives through this simple, straight-forward question.

"Hearing hundreds of different answers to this question from hundreds of different people makes one wonder: What make some people more aware of their own mortality than others? What motivates people to take action in their lives? What values do we hold as a society? And what values do other societies around the world find important?"
